Chrome-Free Zinc-Nickel Finish

Modern Plating is certified to apply the environmentally friendly Sharperize® zinc nickel finish. The Sharperize process includes the application of a proprietary electrodeposited zinc nickel plating followed by a secondary Topcoat.

The Sharperize finish is extremely thin and yet provides outstanding corrosion resistance (1,000 hours + in neutral salt spray testing). Sharperize virtually eliminates the thread and recess fill commonly associated with high performance finishes. Parts with the Sharperize finish on them are a uniform, semi-glossy black in color.

Sharperize is approved for many automotive specifications including Ford WSS-M2P189-A1 through A-60; and Ford WSS-M21P25-B1. Please contact Modern Plating Customer Service regarding specification approvals.
